Upcoming Developments in the Union of Progressive Micronations

In recent months, the Union of Progressive Micronations (UPM) has dedicated resources to establishing a strong foundation to support the union’s growth. A functioning government has been established, composed of the Executive and Legislative branches, with a strong commitment to transparency from day one.

In 2025, the UPM launched its first governmental department, the Department of Governance & Membership Affairs (DGMA). This department oversees governance procedures, membership affairs, compliance, and decree execution.

To strengthen the union’s infrastructure and support its development, we will soon establish two additional governmental departments: the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), which will oversee the upcoming My UPM platform, resolve internal conflicts, and manage citizen services such as ID and Passport issuance, and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), which will engage with other micronations, form alliances and trade agreements, and pursue recognition efforts.

Moreover, we will establish the UPM Central Bank, which aligns with our goal of establishing a unified currency to facilitate trade and stimulate economic growth within the union.

In conclusion, we will launch the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and the UPM Central Bank to ensure the Union of Progressive Micronations has the necessary infrastructure to support its growth.
